The Highlands at Pittsford has the unique distinction of having all of our living options together on a single campus. The campus is located just outside the village of Pittsford, NY within walking distance of the Erie Canal, Schoen Place, the Pittsford Library, and the many village shops and restaurants.
Hahnemann Square
The center of our campus, as well as the center of social activity, is Hahnemann Square. This is where you’ll find the two dining venues, The Ontario Restaurant and The Bistro. The Community Center is a spacious room where the University of Rochester lectures and many other events are held throughout the year. The Wellness Center offers the following:
- A pool for casual swimming, aquatics classes, lap swimming, and underwater treadmill walking
- A whirlpool
- A full fitness gym
- Changing rooms
- A professional salon

We have two wonderful Independent Living options here at The Highlands, The Cottages and Hahnemann Square Apartments. The Cottages are 2-bedroom patio homes reflecting the charm of the village of Pittsford. These delightful homes offer spacious interiors, attached garages, and a full complement of appliances. The Hahnemann Square Apartments are one- and two-bedroom apartment homes with eleven floor plans ranging in size from 600 to over 1,300 square feet. Some of the Hahnemann Square Apartments are connected to the main hub of campus, Hahnemann Square.

On the other side of Hahnemann Square is Laurelwood Assisted Living. As part of the full continuum of living and care at The Highlands, Laurelwood Assisted Living Apartments provide a personalized level of support for those needing assistance with some of the common activities of daily living.

Residents of The Living Center receive best-in-class clinical support through our affiliation with UR Medicine. All of our physicians are board-certified University of Rochester Medical Center faculty members.
On-site care at The Living Center includes:
