The Highlands Living Center has a great opportunity for a full time Environmental Services Aide!  This is a Monday-Friday day shift (7am-3pm), including every other weekend, and rotating holiday position.

Primary function is to perform all general cleaning duties and associated services in resident and non-resident areas.
Performance Outcomes:

• Performs various cleaning duties such as dust mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming.
• Responsible for stocking and restocking housekeeping closets.
• Responsible for setting up linen carts.
• Responsible for cleaning resident’s rooms cleans sinks, faucets, pipes, toilets, showers and tubs daily.
• Spot washes walls, doors, frames and other dust and dirt collecting areas daily.
• Empties and washes wastepaper baskets.  Checks and replenishes soap and paper supplies.  Cleans interior glass and washes mirrors daily.
• Hand dust, vacuums carpets on as need basis.
• Responsible for safe and economical use of equipment and supplies and cleaning of equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of aides’ carts and closet in assigned areas.
• Responsible for picking up broken glass if needed.
• Responsible for picking blood spills.
• Responsible for picking up mercury spills.
• Responsible for making beds on as needed basis.
• Arranges furniture in an orderly fashion.
• Removes trash and linen throughout the facility, scrubs trashcans and covers, breaks up cartons daily.
• Washes walls, ceilings, lights and interior glass.
• Report building and maintenance repairs to supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Up to one (1) year cleaning experience, preferably in a health care setting.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis.

Pay Range- $17.00/hr- $25.50/hr.
