Food Service Lead

The Highlands Living Center has an exciting opening for a Food Service Team Lead.

Per Diem (15-19 hrs. a week)- Every other weekend 12pm-8pm and some weekdays 4pm-8pm.

Coordinate and oversee work activities of the employees of the Dining Services Department. Communicate all work-related information to the Director of Dining Services. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, audit and record refrigeration and freezer temperatures. Make sure dining services employees are keeping standards of sanitation and food safety in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications: High School diploma (or equivalent) required. Minimum of one year of institutional food service experience preferred. Prior leadership experience preferred.

Pay Range: $18.00/hr.-$25.50 per hour

  • Must work in all areas of the food service department, including cleaning, pots and pans, dish-room, starter, entrée, cold foods, beverage, food court, and nourishment positions.
  • Assist in food preparation thickening beverages, pouring beverages, dishes, cleaning, etc., according to production pages and assignments.
  • Knowledge and adherence to all State and Federal regulations
  • Knowledge and adherence to all sanitary regulations governing the handling, preparation, and serving of food.
  • Complete tray line cleaning/closing report according to the assignment.
  • Comply with department policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of materials Safety and Data Sheets and all the chemicals used in the department.
