On June 5, our amazing culinary team won the Top Chef Challenge at the 2023 Alzheimer’s Association Gala!
During the gala, guests sampled dishes prepared by teams of chefs from seven area senior living communities, Rochester Institute of Technology, two BOCES locations, and Custom Culinary. Each team also included culinary arts students from Foodlink, Batavia BOCES, and Spencerport BOCES.
A panel of celebrity judges selected the winning entrée, prepared by The Highlands at Pittsford team. The dish featured pan-seared scallops, applewood-smoked bacon, Low Country grits, roasted corn relish, and microgreens.
The win was a repeat for The Highlands at Pittsford chefs, who also took the grand prize when the competition was last held in 2019.
