The Highlands at Pittsford, Rochester’s only University-based retirement community, has an exciting Line Cook opportunity available!
Primary responsibilities include:
- Setting up stations and stocking them with the necessary prep supplies
- Preparing food on the line, as needed, and direction from Executive Chef and Sous Chef
- Cooking items on the line by grilling, frying, chopping, sautéing, and broiling to quality guidelines and standardized recipes
- Responsible for daily meal preparation following the direction of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
- Successfully execute opening and closing procedures
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize work areas
Required qualifications:
- Must have a demonstrated knowledge of restaurant best practices
- Must be able to present a professional, positive teamwork demeanor
- Must be customer-focused to ensure the highest service is being delivered to our residents and guests of our community
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have a least 2 years of culinary experience, great knife skills and a great attitude!
(2) FT, 40 hrs. week. Day & Evening shifts 7am-3pm, 11am-7pm. Flexible hours.
