Do you have a passion for hospitality, great food, special events, and creating memorable experiences? We’re looking for an energetic and service-focused Bistro & Pub Coordinator to join our Dining Services team!
This unique position combines restaurant-style dining, bar and beverage service, special events, resident engagement, and team leadership within our vibrant senior living community.
The Bistro & Pub Coordinator will supervise and support Bistro dining services, Bistro events, bar operations, Happy Hours, and additional dining venues throughout the community. This position works closely with Dining Services and Life Enrichment to create an exceptional dining, hospitality, and entertainment experience for our residents and guests.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and oversee Bistro dining services, Pub and bar operations, Happy Hours, special events, and catered functions
- Maintain a strong floor presence, building relationships with residents and ensuring an exceptional dining experience
- Provide leadership, coaching, training, and hands-on support to dining team members
- Train Bistro dining staff in formal dining and service expectations
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Bistro Chef on menus, daily specials, food and beverage pairings, menu updates, and pricing
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate menu details, specials, beverage pairings, and service expectations
- Coordinate the setup, execution, and breakdown of special events, catered functions, and community gatherings
- Manage the wine, beer, spirits, and beverage program, including ordering and monthly inventory
- Serve as bartender during Happy Hours, catering functions, and special events as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service policies
- Maintain welcoming, organized, clean, and inviting dining, bar, catering, and event spaces
- Support dining operations throughout the Bistro, Pub, Perk Up, Laurelwood, Oneida Grille, and Oneida Dining Room
- Partner with Dining Management on internal marketing efforts designed to increase resident participation and Bistro revenue
- Assist the Life Enrichment Department with evening entertainment and special events
- Address resident, guest, staff, or entertainer concerns promptly and professionally
- Promote a positive team environment while maintaining a high level of staff motivation and morale
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Five (5) years of previous experience in hospitality, dining services, restaurant operations, food and beverage, or a related field preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Experience with bar operations, beverage service, special events, or catering is a plus
- Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide hands-on leadership and jump in wherever needed to support the team
- A genuine passion for providing an outstanding hospitality experience for seniors

Range: $17.50-$24.00/hr. Experienced Based Pay!
