Staffing Coordinator *Exciting new opening*

The Highlands Living Center has an exciting new opening for a Staffing Coordinator.  The primary purpose of this position is to support the clerical & staffing needs of the Nursing Department.

Staffing:
Assist nursing resource coordinators with staffing on various units, with direct oversight of T.A.R. staff & RN Supervisors, according to budget & facility standards.
Tracks absenteeism/tardiness & provides absenteeism reports to Director of Nursing weekly.
Prepares Daily & Master schedule at least a month in advance.
Informs Director of Nursing & HR of vacancies, transfers, etc.
Meets with new hires during clinical orientation to review staffing guidelines.

Compliance:
Assist with monthly auditing of CNA certifications and RN/LPN licensures.
Observes departmental guidelines, regarding use of meal periods, coffee breaks, and quitting time.
Addends all mandatory in-services.
Adheres to all policies regarding attendance, time off, calling in and absences.
Adheres to confidentiality/HIPAA policy as it relates to residents employees and nursing home information.
Maintains current computer skills for Microsoft Office.

Professional Outcomes:
Schedules vacation time according to the facility policy and departmental guidelines.
Reports to work on time and is ready for duty.
Works with the nurse leadership team in recruitment collaboration.
Works independently while following instructions, and adheres to work schedules and standards without close supervision.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Perform additional job-related duties as necessary within scope of responsibility as directed by the Director of Nursing, designee and/or the Administrator.
Appropriately uses accrued benefit time.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. One year secretarial experience in healthcare. Strong computer skills required.

Position requires someone with excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail, can think on your feet with little to no supervision.  Ability to communicate staffing needs to employees in a positive and clear fashion while following building protocols.

Pay range: $18.00-$27.00 hr

*The referenced pay ranges represent the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
