Culinary Team Leader- Full Time

The Highlands Living Center has an opening for a full time Team Lead in our kitchen; scheduled hours would be 11:00am to 7:30pm Monday – Friday and every other weekend.  In this position you will supervise all activity related to the cleaning and sanitation of all kitchen work areas, have direct oversight of culinary assistants and tray line productivity; responsible for ensuring proper inventories are maintained.

Performance Outcomes:

* Work with the Director of Fine Dining and the Kitchen Operations Supervisor to maintain enhanced foodservice standards from traditional restaurant model of methodology and execution at the facility level.
* Work with the Director of Fine Dining to establish and maintain compliance to standard food service practices, with focus on superior
customer satisfaction.
* Work with the Director of Fine Dining to complete weekly inventory and purchasing in accordance with set ordering schedule.
* Responsible for assistance in performance of monthly inventories.
* In Director of Fine Dining absence will be a supervisor “on call” and will act in his place to complete scheduling and staff direction.
* Monitors all receiving and stocking of fine dining food service products and equipment.
* Supervise all activity related to the cleaning and sanitation of all nourishment room, vending and food service areas to include direct
oversight of utility staff including Culinary Assistants.
* Openly and effectively communicate with supervisors, employees, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agency personnel.
* Communicate all facility & departmental policy and procedure and their changes to department staff.
* Guide, motivate, and coordinate the activity of others. Isolate, define, and solve problems.

Qualifications:  Minimum HSD or GED; previous supervisory experience in food service desirable.
